Mrs. Garlene Bowens Kurfees, of Mocksville, 60, died Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at her home.

She was born November 3, 1963 in Davie County to the late Garland Luther and Betty Jo Sparks Bowens.

Mrs. Kurfees loved watching the birds especially cardinals, she was an animal lover. She loved going antiquing. Mrs. Kurfees loved being a grandmother, her grandson was her pride and joy.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by in-laws, John and Carol Kurfees.

Survivors include her husband, Stuart Gray Kurfees; children, Tyler Kurfees (Kayleigh) and Eli Kurfees (Catlin); sister, LuVada Howell (Stewart); and grandson, Theodore Kurfees.

A celebration of her life will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, April 7, 2024, at Cornatzer Methodist Church.
