Fred Benton Harless, 60, of Winston-Salem, died unexpectedly Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at his home.

He was born October 10, 1964, in Forsyth County.  Fred was employed with Hanes Brands for 27 years and later worked with Cognizant in Winston-Salem.

Survivors include his mother, Sandra Kay Bibb Harper of Clemmons; his father, Fred Earret Harless (Evelyn Sue);  a son, Joshua Harless (Meagan) of Clemmons; a sister, Sharon Harless Cunningham (Bobby) of Winston-Salem; a stepsister, Jennifer Owens Key (Bobby) of Lexington; a grandson; and nieces, Kaitlyn Cunningham, Meredith Key, and Elisabeth Key.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m., Friday, June 20, at Rose Cemetery, with Rev. Jim Bush officiating. The family invites friends to visit with them in the cemetery immediately following the service.
