Mocksville Esther Mae McPherson, age 77, died June 2, 2017, at her residence, following an extended illness. She was born in Ridgeland, South Carolina, daughter of the late Lawton and Pearl Pinckney. She attended public schools in South Carolina and graduated from State High School in Jasper County. She had lived in Mocksville for the past twelve years and worked as a monitor on YVEDDI Transportation. She is survived by her husband, Isaac McPherson of the home; two sons, Clinton (Cheryl) McPherson and Isaac (Darlene) McPherson; one daughter, Sharon McPherson; one brother, Lawton (Susie) Pinckney; two sisters, Marie Whitaker and Carolyn King; eighteen grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren.
