Obituary

Elizabeth Ann Massey Vines, 74, of Advance, died Saturday, February 14, 2026, at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem.

She was born January 20, 1952, in Davidson County, to the late Henry Thomas, Jr. and Tennie Oneda Hamilton Massey. Elizabeth was a faithful member of Fulton Methodist Church, where she found great joy in worship and fellowship. She loved spending time at the Davie County Senior Center, especially bowling and playing Bingo with her friends. Elizabeth cherished the fishing trips she shared with her children, creating memories that will be treasured forever. She also enjoyed attending Camp Dogwood with her daughter Teresa, a place that brought her much happiness and special moments together. One of her simple pleasures was cheering on her friend Peggy's boys as they played baseball, always supporting them with pride and enthusiasm. Elizabeth's life was filled with love for her family, her friends, and the activities that brought them together.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Allen Vines.

Survivors include her children, Teresa Ann Vines, and Thomas Allen Vines; a brother, Thomas Richard Massey (Sue); a sister, Bonnie Lanier (Dwayne); and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m., Monday, February 23, at Fulton Methodist Church Cemetery, Advance, with Mrs. Kay Leonard Caudle officiating.
