Elden Duayne Steelmen, 85, of Mocksville, died Monday, August 11, 2025, at Davie Nursing and Rehab.

He was born October 19, 1939, in Malta, MT, to the late Paul Truman and Evelyn Ethel Way Steelman.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Ernestine Frye Steelman; a son, Ernest Duayne Steelman; a granddaughter, Teresa Lynn Steelman; a brother, Truman Steelman; and a sister, Eleanor Matthews.

Survivors include his children, Keith Steelman, Malinda Hall (Todd), and Patricia Myers (Steve), all of Mocksville; grandchildren, David, Christy, Nicole, Kimberly, Julie, Jackie, Jeffery, and Amber; great-grandchildren, Destiny, James, Lindsey, Jayla, Reggie, Lee, Hannah, Ivy, Jonathon, Ashleigh, Luke, Courtney, Timothy, Dakota, Dawson, and Denver; great-great-grandchildren, Kolt, and Aspen; and a sister, Charlotte Beler.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m., Friday, August 15, at Lambert Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Joshua Gupton officiating. Interment will follow in Sandy Springs Baptist Church Cemetery, Harmony. The family invites friends to visit with them from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, August 14, at Lambert Funeral Home.
