Elbert Clark, 76, died December 18, 2016, in Rowan Regional Hospital following a short illness. He was born in Anson County, NC, son of the late Geneva Wall Clark, and Clarence Clark, Sr. He graduated from Davie County Training School in 1960, and retired from Fiber Industries in 1993. He was an active member of Boxwood Baptist Church, where he served as an usher, trustee, deacon, and treasurer of the church building fund. Elbert enjoyed farming, gardening, spending time with his grandchildren and family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Herbert and Joseph Clark. Elbert is survived by his loving wife Paulette M. Clark of the home; one son, David (Cheryl) Clark; one daughter, Jennifer Clark; four brothers, Charlie (Corrie) Clark, Preston (Betty) Clark, Clarence (Sadie) Clark, and Frank Clark; two sisters, Rether (Lymon) Parker and Bertha Duncan; two sisters-in-law, Ozener Clark and Lurline Clark; four grandchildren, Denzel Chunn, Katlin Chunn, Sabrina Amick, and Gabriel Clark; one great-grandchild, India Chunn; his mother-in-law, Margaret Melton; eight brothers-in-law and two sisters-in-law; other relatives and friends.
