Mr. Edward Joseph Massey, 71, of Charlotte, died Thursday, December 28, at Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center.

He was born May 1, 1952, in Cleveland, OH, to the late Edward Joseph and Virginia Lee Marshall Massey.

Ed enjoyed camping and spending time with his family. His most recent hobby was working on Corvettes and hot rods. He restored two corvettes, but hand built from scratch, both a red Model A roadster and a yellow Model A coupe.

In addition to his parents, Ed was preceded in death by a brother, Carl Douglas Massey.

Survivors include his wife, Susan Elaine Massey; son, Joseph William Massey (Jennifer) of Nashville, TN; and brother, David John Massey (Tamara) of Lexington, SC.

A service will be conducted at a later date.
