Edward Joseph Halatin, 76, of Mocksville, died Thursday, November 24, 2022, at Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington.

He was born August 5, 1946, in Passaic, NJ. Ed graduated from Passaic High School and joined the Air Force in Newburg, NY where he later served in Germany and Vietnam. He lived most of his life in Pequannack, NJ. Throughout his career, Ed wore many different hats; he had served as an auxiliary policeman in Passaic, NJ, worked as parts manager at a few different car dealerships, and had most recently worked at Advance Auto Parts in Clemmons. Ed had a good heart and was proudest to be an American and have served his country.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Adeline Dorazio; and his father, Andrew Halatin.

Survivors include sisters, Barbara Wright (William), and Arlene Vandermay (Douglas); brother, Andrew Richard Halatin; sister-in-law, Barbara Lannahan; nieces, Danielle, Kimberly, Angelica, and Tara; nephew, Kenneth; three great-nieces; four great-nephews; and lifetime friend and old flame, Rosemarie Molina.
