Dorothy Elizabeth Parks Pierce, 96, of Salisbury, died Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at Autumn Care of Salisbury.

She was born July 28, 1929, in Davidson County, to the late Earl and Maud Elizabeth Creasy Parks.

In early retirement, Mrs. Pierce and her husband vacationed in Europe, South America, Asia, and of course Florida. Her passion in life was art: oil painting, charcoal drawings, and pastels. She also enjoyed playing the piano.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Commander Leon Lacy Pierce, USN, Retired; and three brothers, Glenn Parks, Melvin Parks, and Roy Parks.

Survivors include children, Rita Pierce, Gerald Pierce, and Randall Pierce (Sharon); and two grandchildren, Corbin Pierce, and Drew Pierce.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m., Wednesday, August 13, at Salisbury National Cemetery where she will be reunited with her husband.
