Dorcas Jean Sherrill, 74, of Mocksville, died Sunday, May 31, 2026, at Davie Nursing & Rehab.

She was born January 3, 1952, in Iredell County.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Jessie Cleo Reavis Sherrill; and father Roy Linney Sherrill.

Survivors include an aunt, Norma Bowden; uncle, Robert Leo Reavis; several cousins; and special cousin, Donna Wallace, and Judy Jordan.

A private burial has taken place.
