Donté Tremell Johnson, 30, of Advance, died Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at his residence.

He was born July 13, 1994, in Brooklyn, NY, to Danny Johnson and the late Yolanda Elaine Jenkins. Donté was a graduate of Statesville High School. He always had a smile on his face, and a positive attitude. He was always willing to help and even when things weren't going right, he was always smiling. Donté loved riding his bike, and drawing the New York bridges in his sketch book.

Survivors include his father, Danny Johnson of New York City, NY; his brothers, Christopher Williams of The Bronx, NY, Devon Johnson of Hickory, Danny A. Johnson of New York City; his sisters, Javonni Johnson and Tyanna Johnson, both of New York City, and Danisha Johnson-Robertson of Clinton, PA; his grandmother, Helen Johnson of Brooklyn, NY; his grandfather, Dannie B. Johnson of Durham; a host of uncles; one aunt; and a host of nieces, cousins and friends from the New York and the North Carolina communities and abroad.

A celebration of Donté's life will be conducted at 7 p.m., Tuesday, March 25, at Blaise Baptist Church, with Pastors Ken Furches and Derick Forbes officiating.
