Mr. Dewey Donald "Don" Allen, Sr., 82, of Mocksville, died Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at his home.

He was born January 19, 1941, in Davie County, to the late Else Gray and Pansy Lillian Seats Allen. Don retired from Ingersoll Rand, having worked as a machinist. His most enjoyable time was the time he spent working on his tractor and with the cows.

In addition, he was preceded in death by daughter, Robin Dawn Allen; grandson, Donald Mitchell Allen; and siblings, Bob Allen, Bill Allen, David Allen, and Brenda Childress.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Rosetta Ann McDaniel Allen; children, Dewey Donald "Donnie" Allen, Jr., Eric Allen, Beverly Allen McDaniel (Robin), and Marsha Allen; siblings, Elmer Allen, Lillian Groce, Peggy Phillips, Gilmer Allen, and Dean Allen; grandchildren, Michelle Lambert (Johnny), and Travis McDaniel; and great-grandson, Tyler Lambert.

A private family service was held.
