Dennis Dale Gray, 76, of Mocksville, died Monday, June 29, 2026, at Carolina Caring Catawba Valley Hospice Home in Newton.

He was born on February 11, 1950, in Cabarrus County, to the late Leonard Thomas and Johnsie Boatwright Gray.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Dennis Dale Gray, II; a granddaughter, Autumn Gray; and a brother, Tommy Gray.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Kay Williams Gray; a daughter, Lisa Smith (Billy); a brother, Garry Gray (Mary); a sister, Mary Lee Wensil; a sister-in-law, Barbara Gray; granddaughters, Megan Howell, and Jessica Yaseen; and three step-grandsons, Dylan Smith, Aaron Smith, and Ben Smith.

A memorial service will be conducted at 6:30 p.m., Monday, July 6, at Lambert Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Joshua L. Gupton officiating. The family invites friends to visit with them following the service.
