Dennis John Ammerman, 61, of Mocksville, died Monday, October 12, 2026, at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem.

He was born February 21, 1965, in Neptune, NJ, to Patricia Jean McKenna Ammerman, and the late Neil Raymond Ammerman. Dennis was a natural prankster who loved making others laugh and bringing joy to those around him. An amazing cook, he enjoyed sharing his love of food with others. Dennis also loved trips to the beach, fishing, and listening to both country and rock music. His playful spirit, sense of humor, and love for the things that brought him happiness will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.

Survivors include her wife, Isabel Maria Andres Ammerman; children, Eric Ammerman, Manuel Alejandro “Alex” Nuñez, and Isabella Denise Nuñez; siblings, Dwayne Ammerman (Linda), and Denise McKenna (Walker); grandchildren, Wyatt and Mason Ammerman; and many nieces and nephews.
