Denise Ann Burkhart Brown, 66, of Lexington, died Sunday, October 8, 2023, at Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington.

She was born December 2, 1956, in Davidson County, to the late James Murphy and Mary Magdalene Crotts Burkhart. Ms. Brown had been employed by A-1 Face Veneer.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, Onel Burkhart, Dallas Burkhart, and Zelda Burkhart Leonard.

Survivors include children, Machelle Collier (Nathaniel Dickman) and Shane Santana Turner; brothers, James Burkhart and Rex Burkhart; grandsons, Levi (Jessica), Zachary, Jeffrey (Lyndsey), and Jason; great-grandchildren, Lilly Ann and Avery Ezralyn; special friend, Mary Everhart; former husband, Richard Brown; many special friends; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m., Thursday, October 19, at Mt. Tabor United Church of Christ Cemetery, Lexington.
