David Ray "Doc" Miller, 88, of Mocksville, died Saturday, June 13, 2026, at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem.

He was born on February 27, 1938, in Davie County, to the late Richard Swadie and Ada Gabard Miller. David was retired from Crown Wood Products. He was an avid NASCAR fan. David also loved working on, detailing, and selling cars.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by all his siblings, Lucy Miller Crotts, Ruth Miller Beck, Lawrence Miller, Dickie Miller, and Jim Miller.

Survivors include several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m., Wednesday, June 17, at Liberty United Methodist Church Cemetery, with Mr. Randy Miller officiating. The family invites friends to visit with them from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, June 16, at Lambert Funeral Home.
