Mr. Daniel Edward DeVoid, 70, of Mocksville, died Saturday, September 28, 2024, at Atrium Health Urgent Care - Mocksville.

He was born May 6, 1954, in Middlebury, VT, to the late Julius William and Doris York DeVoid. Dan had been employed by the NC DOT. He had been a volunteer firefighter in Salisbury, VT for over 29 years. Dan had served as president of CBA in Davidson County. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, motorcyclist, and enjoyed camping. Dan was the ultimate storyteller, and loved asking questions, even when he already knew the answers. He had a knack to be able to fix anything.

Survivors include his wife, Vicki Lynn Bibeau; children, Delina "DeeDee" DeVoid, Daniel Edward DeVoid, II (Brittany Star), Buffy Marie Hutchins (Gary Lee), and Drew Chambers; brothers, Ronald DeVoid (Laura), David DeVoid (Julie), and Ricki DeVoid; grandchildren, Mariah Marie (Garrett), and Zackery Charles Louis; and his beloved K-9 companions, Maddox, Layla, Tank, and Kane.
