Carol Gereldene Smoot Fisher was born June 12, 1956 in Mocksville, NC. She departed this life on Thursday, Aug. 14, 2014 surrounded by family and friends at her home. She graduated from Davie County High School in 1974 and attended Shaw University for two years. Carol and Frank united in marriage on February 9, 2002. Carol had been a homemaker for the past ten years. She was an active member of New Generation Outreach Ministries, where she served as church secretary and mother of the church. She loved her church and the church family and was one of the most faithful members. Carol was preceded in death by her daughter, Char'lee Nichole Dulin on September 9, 2008 and her father, William Rondal Smoot on May 22, 2014. Survivors include her devoted husband, Frank Fisher of the home; two sons, Rufus Dwayne Hunter of Mocksville and Jonathan Ashley Smoot of the home; her mother, Beatrice Smoot of Mocksville; three sisters, Patricia D. 'Kate' Smoot McClelland and Rhonda Smoot Grant both of Mocksville and Tirena Anderson of Winston-Salem; two brothers, Dennis Ashley Smoot and William E. 'Rickey' Smoot both of Mocksville; five grandchildren, Amber Hunter, Lucas Lewis, Destiny Young, Carter Grose, and Rue Hunter; her mother-in-law, Juanita Fisher; two uncles, three aunts, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
