He was preceded in death by his mother, Christine Hudson McHone Ramsey. Survivors include his father, Jimmy Anderson Hobson (Vanessa) of Elm City; children, Tyler Hobson of Boone and Lauren Hobson of Mocksville, Brandon Light of Charlotte, Tanner Hobson of Walnut Cove, and Braydon Hobson of Winston-Salem; grandchildren, Kaiden Hobson, Waylon Hobson, Aspen Hobson, Nahla Trexler, all of Mocksville, and Carter and Jameson Light of Charlotte; siblings, Paula Eller (Matthew) of Winston-Salem, Tonya Butler (Nick) of KY, and Jeff Mounce of Boonville; three nieces; and three nephews.
