Brenda Kay "BK" Hedrick Pauley, 74, of Winston-Salem, died Monday, June 2, 2025, at her home.

She was born August 8, 1950, in Pomeroy, OH to the late Burton Atlee Hedrick, Sr. and Bertye Marie McDonald Hedrick.

BK enjoyed bird watching and loved going to Cades Cove and looking for bears. She also enjoyed sewing, painting, gardening, and especially enjoyed family time.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Larry Hedrick and Buddy Hedrick; and sisters, Jane Smith, Stella Hedrick, Carol Sampson, Nancy Griffith, and Connie Taylor.

Survivors include her husband, Greenway Pauley; children, Jeff Pauley (Bobbie), and Sharon Pauley; a brother, Otis Hedrick; grandchildren, Clay Pauley (Melissa), Kadee Mabe (Christopher), and Deanna Butler; great-grandchildren, Aiden, Emma, Oliver, Allister, and Becca; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m., Saturday, June 7, at Bear Creek Baptist Church, with Rev. Greg McEwen officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family invites friends to visit with them at the church one hour prior to the service.
