Brandon Eugene Slate, 71, of Mocksville, died Friday, August 21, 2026, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice House in Winston-Salem.

He was born on April 24, 1955, in Guilford County, to the late Alvin Eugene and Lois Virginia Foster Slate.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death a brother Brian Foster Slate.

Survivors include his wife, Lorrie Anne Flicek Slate; children, Olivia Nicole Slate (Tucker) and Nicayla J. Slate (Brian), Luis Soto (Sara), and Mercedes Soto (Bill); grandchildren Aubrey Soto, Brian Foster Soloman, and Gabriel Williams.

A time of gathering will be held on Saturday, August 29, at Lambert Funeral Chapel, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
