Obituary

Bonnie Sue Boger Milan, known as "Bon" or "Maw Bon", 83, of N. Myrtle Beach, SC, formerly of Mocksville, walked into the arms of her savior Jesus Christ Sunday, October 12, 2025, at her home.

She was born January 9, 1942, in Davie County, to the late William Grady and Mary M. Plott Boger. Mrs. Bonnie was always a hard worker she worked for Western Electric, Stroh's Brewery and George K. Walker Florist in her earlier years. She was a devoted NASCAR fan who found joy in the simple pleasures of life—whether it was a long phone call with a loved one, reading a favorite magazine, or spending quiet moments with her Bible. She cherished time with family and friends and was always a comforting presence, offering a listening ear when it was needed most. Later in life, she moved to the beach which became her final destination. Some of her most peaceful moments were spent in her rocking chair on the porch, watching doves or seagulls drift by, content in the beauty of the world around her. She cherished her family and would always give the best advice. Her pride and joy was her granddaughter, Kendra "Toodley" Carter. Most importantly she taught her family that the relationship you must build with Jesus will carry you through life.

She will be missed deeply but forever in our hearts

She was a determined fighter. She fought a courageous fight for many years and is now in peace with no more suffering.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Dennis Carol Carter and Christopher Bryant Carter; and siblings, Hazel Daywalt, Ruth Garner, Ella Mae Capes, Lawrence Boger, and Jim Boger.

Survivors include children, Randall Keith Carter (Mindy), Lewis Dean Carter (Patsy), and Susan Jeannette Tracy (Mike); daughters-in-law, Debbie Carter and Cynthia Carter; a brother, George Boger; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m., Friday, October 17, Westlawn Gardens of Memory, Clemmons. The family invites friends to visit with them from 9 to 10 a.m., Friday, October 17, at Lambert Funeral home, Mocksville.

In lieu of flowers, please consider memorials to COPD Foundation, PO Box 160112 Miami, FL 33116-0112.

Special thanks to special care givers that were family to Bonnie- Arch Angels, Always Caring, and Agape Hospice of South Carolina and many other neighbors and friends. The family is deeply grateful for the compassionate care each of you gave her.
