Bobby Wayne Potts, Sr., 58, of Hamptonville, died Monday, March 31, 2025, at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem.

He was born March 17, 1967, in Iredell County, to the late Paul James and Glania Dars Tayes Potts. Bobby had worked for Shoaf Concrete in Mocksville.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Dale Potts, Jeff Potts, Karen Potts, Terry Potts, and Kay Potts Garza.

Survivors include his wife, Laura; children, Bobby Potts, Jr. (Rose), Steven Potts (Hannah), Taylen Dancy (Jadeah), and Jeremiah Wagner (Harley); six grandchildren; siblings, Jimmy Potts (Sissy), Kathy Roberts (Donny), Dora Robertson (Keith), and Michael Potts; sisters-in-law, Sherry Potts, and Zana Potts; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m., Friday, April 4, at Lambert Funeral Chapel, Mocksville, with Rev. Michael Osborne officiating. The family invites friends to visit with them at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Bear Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Mocksville.
