Obituary

Blanche Mae Wansley was born in Davie County on April 15, 1929 to the late Callie Dulin Alexander. She attended church with her mother at Shiloh Baptist Church. She did not attend public school due to speech impairment. Blanche never worked in the public arena, but she was a great cook and housekeeper in her own home. Blanche loved to walk, and that was a daily activity as long as the weather permitted. She walked to her favorite shopping site, Martin Brothers, and various other places in Mocksville. For the past eight years she had been a resident at Cedar Rock in Mocksville. On Monday, February 20, 2012 she died following an extended illness. Her only survivors include several cousins, including special devoted cousins, Rozeller (Adolphus) Brown, who were faithful in taking care of Blanche.
