CHARLTON MOCKSVILLE – Blanche Mary Gosner Charlton, 76, passed away Monday, June 6, 2022, after a strong fight with ALS. She was born September 14, 1945, in New Brunswick, New Jersey, to Blanche and John Gosner. Originally from North Brunswick, New Jersey, Blanche lived a short time in Maryland and Virginia and recently resided in Mocksville. In 1963, Blanche graduated from New Brunswick High School. She married James L. Charlton on February 8, 1964, in South Amboy, New Jersey. Blanche worked for Wachovia Bank as a teller and accountant in North Brunswick. She was very outgoing, loved children, dancing and humming birds. Always with a smile and bubbly personality, she would light up a room with her presence and loved by all who met her. Her family was her biggest passion. She is survived by her husband, James; three daughters, Joy Brown, Sharon Aiyanna, and Dawn Wolff; seven grandchildren; three great-grandsons; three brothers, Alfred, John, and Charles, with their extended families; and many nieces, nephews and friends. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Sunday, June 26, Community Baptist Church, 612 Gladstone Road, Mocksville, to celebrate her presence with the Lord and to honor Blanche's life.
