Betty Frances Thompson Royal, 73, of Mocksville, died Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson.

She was born February 21, 1952, in Sanford, to the late Allen Sanford and Susie Kate Wicker Thompson.

Survivors include Daughters, Brandie Ayers (Tracy), Angie Ward (Danny), and Amanda Elwood (Aaron); brothers, David Thompson and Clyde Thompson; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m., Tuesday, January 20, at Good Hope Methodist Church Cemetery, Lexington, with Rev. Josh Gupton officiating.
