Miss Barbara Ann Clodfelter, 72, of Cooleemee, died Friday, June 16, 2023, at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center in Salisbury.

She was born April 23, 1951, in Rowan County, to the late Charles Guy and Ruth Kathleen Mays Clodfelter. Barbara had served as a junior marshal, and was a graduate of Davie County High School, and of Appalachian State University. After 30 years of service with Social Security Administration, she chose an early retirement at age 55, to help at home. Barbara was an avid shopper, and loved animals. She also loved kids and being involved with their future. Barbara had a love for plants, and was a very active member of the Master Gardeners for 15 years.

Survivors include her brothers, Richard and Pete Clodfelter.

She was laid to rest in a private service at Rowan Memorial Park, Salisbury.
