Anthony "Tony" Ray Allison, 57, of Mocksville, died Tuesday, September 28, 2021, at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem.
He was born July 31, 1964, in Davie County, to Margaret Lee Booe Allison and the late Kermit Ray Allison. Tony had worked for Pet Dairy in Winston-Salem. He was a hard worker, and was very kind, loving, caring, and protective. Tony was quiet but a good listener and when he talked it was meaningful. He was a good papaw who loved his grandchildren. Tony didn't smile a lot but they made him smile. He also had a creative side that most people would not expect: he made jewelry, grew spices in his garden, made walking sticks, and dabbled in painting.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Paige.
Survivors include his mother; his wife, Dawn Marie Rust Allison; children, Aaron Allison (Jessica) and Jessica Smyres, all of Mocksville; stepchildren, Patricia Harville (Greg) of Princeton, TX, Jessica Beyenhof (Graham) of Dennison, TX, Rachel Beyenhof of Champlain, MN, and Dana Beyenhof (Lindsey) of Roseburg, OR; siblings, James Edward Allison and Nannette Allison Brown, both of Mocksville; granddaughters, Lillian and Abigail; and stepgrandchildren, Jewell, Corbi, Everly, Hazel, Oliver, Korbyn, and Alora.
