Annie 'Ann' Ethel Dalton Grant, age 77, was born April 12, 1942 in Mocksville, NC to the late Annie Ethel Cockerham Dalton and Hilrey Hill Dalton. She departed this life on July 30, 2019 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Ann attended Davie County Training School and graduated with the class of 1961. After finishing school Ann worked for the Davie county School System as a school bus driver and teachers aid assistant for 25 years. Ann was a very dedicated member of Mocksville Second Presbyterian church where she was more than willing to help wherever she was needed. Ann was loved and respected by all the Mocksville Second church family. Ann loved being surrounded by family and friends. She was a devoted Wife, Mother and Grandmother, a very giving person and she wanted everyone to be happy. Ann loved playing Bingo and watching drama TV. In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her husband Fred Grant who passed in 2010, two brothers Jerry Lee Dalton and David Lee Dalton, and a very special Aunt who raised her after the passing of her mother, Mrs. Lillian Dalton Doulin who passed July 24, 2019. She leaves to cherish her memory a son Jamie Grant (Faye), a daughter Stephanie Grant Redmon (Michael), sister Hilda Jean Scott, brother Tim Dalton, step sisters Amelia Cain, Pam Rankin, step brother Thomas Davidson, five grandchildren, Braxten 'BJ' Grant, Amilea Redmon, Nakea Hampton, Latoyia & Andrea Grant, a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.
