D'AMATO MOCKSVILLE – Anita Kathleen D'Amato, 82, died Friday, November 19, 2021, at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. She was affectionately known as Aunt Neene. She was born January 9, 1939, in Brooklyn, NY, to the late Michael Anthony and Veronica Ann Gordon D'Amato. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Stella Priest and Marie Crotts; brother-in-law, Gary Priest; and a nephew, Matthew Hudson. Survivors include nieces and nephews, Jennifer Grubbs, Anita York, Robin Mason, Todd Crotts, Kathy Priest, Brad Priest, and Mike Priest; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews; and many special friends. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
