Agnes Lorene Gaither, 90 years old, was born January 25, 1927 to Luther and Lucy Frost Gaither, in Davie County, North Carolina. She went home to be with her heavenly father January 30, 2017. Ms. Gaither attended Davie County Public Schools. She accepted Christ as her savior in the late 1970s and became a faithful member of the St. Stephens Missionary Baptist Church. Over the years she was greatly involved in various church auxiliaries. Ms. Gaither was a retiree of AT Post retirement, she was employed with Hanes Hosiery and Duncan Music Company. Ms. Gaither was an avid gardener who enjoyed spending many hours working outside in her yard. She also loved traveling, flowers, fishing, bicycling and baking. She was formally married to the late Fred Jackson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Lucy Frost Gaither, her two brothers, Hugh and Elbert Gaither, one sister, Pauline Covington, and one son, Richard Harvey Gaither. Now she leaves to cherish, one sister, Vivian Imes of Far Rockaway, New York; one daughter, Odella (Frank) Fogle of Winston-Salem NC; three grandchildren, Michael (Tammy) Moore of Winston-Salem NC, Lennie Moore of Washington, DC, and Katrina Boston of Winston-Salem NC; three great-grandchildren, DeMarcus Smith of Winston-Salem, NC, Nekomis Smith of Winston-Salem, NC, and Dominique Boston of Winston-Salem, NC; two great-great grandchildren, Kari Smith of Winston-Salem, NC and Nekomis Smith, Jr. of Winston-Salem, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
